Our Core Beliefs
We desire more.
More love in action. More grace in our daily lives. More connection with God and each other. At Crossroads Church, our beliefs reflect our deep roots in the United Methodist tradition, and our growing desire to live and love more like Jesus every day.

Our beliefs are shaped by Scripture, reason, tradition, and experience—what John Wesley called the Wesleyan Quadrilateral—and are grounded in the wider teachings of The United Methodist Church.
“When people look at us, all they see is the love of God shining forth from us.”– The United Methodist Church (UMC.org)
God
We believe in one God, eternal and unchanging, who exists in three persons: Creator, Redeemer, and Sustainer—commonly known as the Trinity.
God is perfect in love, holiness, justice, and mercy. As United Methodists, we seek more of God’s presence in our lives and in the world around us.

The Church
The Church is the Body of Christ, called to make disciples for the transformation of the world (Smith & Harris, 2002).
Crossroads Church is a local expression of this mission—where worship, friendship, justice, and service help us grow in faith together.
We desire more inclusion, more compassion, and more impact in our neighborhoods and beyond.

The Bible
We believe the Bible is the primary authority for our faith and practice. Guided by the Holy Spirit, we study Scripture thoughtfully and communally—seeking to live out its truths in today's world.
We desire more wisdom, more courage, and more connection as we learn together.

Resurrection & Hope
We believe Jesus Christ will come again to bring about the fullness of God’s kingdom—a new heaven and a new earth (Koehler, 2002).
The story of our faith is not over; it points to a future filled with hope.
We desire more courage to live as resurrection people, right here and now.

Revelation
God reveals truth and love through Jesus Christ, the living Word—through Scripture, through creation, and through the ongoing work of the Holy Spirit in the world today.
We desire more revelation—not just knowledge, but deeper relationship with the living God.

Humanity
All people are made in the image of God. We were created for love, for relationship, and for stewardship of the world. While sin disrupts this calling, God's grace is always reaching out to restore us.
We desire more grace to become who God has always intended us to be.

Come Desire More With Us
At Crossroads, belief isn’t just about what’s written on a page—it’s about how we live. We believe in grace over guilt, transformation over tradition, and a faith that moves us into action.
